Nomad Coffee
Nomad Coffee began in London in 2011 with a single coffee cart. Founded by Jordi Mestre, it moved to Barcelona in 2014 and became a leading force in Spain’s specialty coffee scene.
Nomad Coffee
Nomad Coffee started as a single cart in London's street markets in 2011. Founder Jordi Mestre worked as a nomadic barista around the city before entering competitions, winning Spain's National Barista Championship two years running and placing 15th at the World Barista Championship in Vienna. In 2014 he brought that experience home to Barcelona, turning one person's obsession into the engine behind Spain's specialty coffee scene.

A Community Built on Knowledge
At Nomad, coffee is also about passing on knowledge. The Coffee Academy, led by director Ivette Vera, runs workshops for aspiring baristas and curious home brewers alike. Nomad also publishes a yearly Transparency Report detailing how producers are paid and treated, because for a project built on nomadic spirit, staying accountable matters as much as staying curious.
Reserved For Their Best Lots
Not every coffee at Nomad earns the Competición label. It's saved for lots that stand out even by their own high bar: rare varieties, meticulous processing, yields too small to last the season. Our Competición Geisha Timbuyacu from Peru is exactly that kind of coffee, the sort normally reserved for barista competitions rather than a bag on a shelf.
