The story:
Not every bag needs to be a fireworks display. This washed lot from Churupallana in northern Peru grows between 1800 and 2000 MASL, high enough that the cherries ripen painfully slowly and pack in sugar while they wait. Nomad roasted it for the mornings when you want something good without having to think about it.

The taste:
Round and mellow from the first mouthful. Walnut shows up early, then a soft yellow plum sweetness fills the middle, and dates close things out with an almost dessert-like richness. Acidity sits low the whole way through, so nothing here elbows for attention.

The feeling:
This is batch brew territory. Fill up a Moccamaster or your drip machine, walk away, come back to something that tastes exactly as good as if you had fussed over it. Forgiving enough that a sloppy grind will not ruin it.
