The story:
Kenya at its most textbook. KII#2 comes out of Kibugu, pulled together from smallholder plots sitting anywhere between 1310 and 1900 MASL, and it carries the full classic line-up of Kenyan varieties: SL-28, SL-34, Batian and Ruiru-11. All washed, all sorted with the kind of obsessive cherry selection the region built its reputation on.

The taste:
Layered and precise. Delicate white tea opens the cup, flat peach takes over through the middle with real juiciness, then candied lemon snaps everything into focus on the finish. The acidity is balanced rather than aggressive, which lets each note land on its own instead of blurring together.

The feeling:
An Origami dripper suits this one nicely, though any pour-over you trust will do the job. Take the pour slow and the layers reveal themselves one by one. Kenya rewards patience, and this lot is no exception.
