The story:
Wamuguma AA is grown in the highlands of Kiambu County, Kenya, at 1600 to 1900 m from Batian, Ruiru 11 and SL28. Volcanic soils, a mild climate and abundant rainfall let the cherries ripen slowly, and the washed process adds clarity. Our partners at Ditta Artigianale roast it to order in Florence to keep the cup bright and juicy.

The taste:
Fresh lime opens the cup, followed by juicy blueberries and a sweet finish of maple syrup. The acidity is lively, the sweetness juicy and the finish smooth and enveloping. A clean, well-defined Kenyan profile where every note stays clear, bright and perfectly balanced from the first sip to the last, with a sweetness that keeps the acidity friendly.

The feeling:
Brew it in a V60 or Chemex to keep the lime bright and the blueberry juicy, or pull it on your espresso machine for a vivid, sweet shot. A lively coffee for a sunny morning, when you want something with real Kenyan energy and a sweet landing. Pour a second cup and notice how the lime softens.

About the roastery

Ditta Artigianale is a Florence roastery that treats coffee like a craft and a story worth telling. Since 2013, founders Francesco Sanapo, a barista champion and Italy’s best coffee taster, and Patrick Hoffer have travelled far for exclusive micro-lots and roasted them with hot air and patience. The roasting crew is Q Grader certified and includes Italy’s best roaster of 2019. Five coffee bars and a coffee school later, they still love telling the story behind every cup.
