The story:
Aricha Wubanchi comes from Chelchelie, a village in the Gedeb district near Yirgacheffe, where young producer Tinshe Guye farms a tiny 0.4 hectare plot in the shade of Acacia and Sudan Teak trees. The Heirloom cherries ferment for 36 hours, are washed in clean water channels and dry for 16 days on African beds. Our partners at Ditta Artigianale roast it to order in Florence.

The taste:
Peach and bright lime lead the cup, followed by a handful of sweet berries in the finish. Acidity is lively and clean, sweetness stays delicate and the aroma feels elegant, fresh and persistent. Because the coffee is washed, every note stays clear and precise, giving a bright cup that is easy to read and very easy to enjoy.

The feeling:
Brew it in a V60, Chemex or AeroPress and let the lime and peach sparkle in a clean cup, or pull it on your espresso machine for a bright, fruity shot. A lovely coffee for a bright morning, when you want something lively and refined that wakes the senses without feeling heavy. One bag, two ways to enjoy it.

About the roastery

Ditta Artigianale is a Florence roastery that treats coffee like a craft and a story worth telling. Since 2013, founders Francesco Sanapo, a barista champion and Italy’s best coffee taster, and Patrick Hoffer have travelled far for exclusive micro-lots and roasted them with hot air and patience. The roasting crew is Q Grader certified and includes Italy’s best roaster of 2019. Five coffee bars and a coffee school later, they still love telling the story behind every cup.
