The story:
Mama Sierra comes from the high mountains of Antioquia, Colombia, grown at 1900 to 2200 m from Caturra by a group of women producers working toward quality and economic independence. The washed process and the altitude give a clean, sweet and precise cup. Our partners at Ditta Artigianale roast it to order in Florence for both pour over and espresso.

The taste:
Vanilla and wildflower honey open the cup, followed by juicy yellow plum. The body is silky and the finish long and lingering, while the profile stays clean, sweet and precise. It is a balanced coffee with real aromatic clarity, equally elegant as a filter brew or as an espresso. The finish stays sweet and the aroma keeps unfolding as the cup cools.

The feeling:
Brew it in a V60 or Chemex for a clear, honeyed cup, or pull it on your espresso machine for a sweet, silky shot. A flexible coffee for people who want one bag for every moment, from a quiet pour over to a quick morning espresso, and who like to support women producers.

About the roastery

Ditta Artigianale is a Florence roastery that treats coffee like a craft and a story worth telling. Since 2013, founders Francesco Sanapo, a barista champion and Italy’s best coffee taster, and Patrick Hoffer have travelled far for exclusive micro-lots and roasted them with hot air and patience. The roasting crew is Q Grader certified and includes Italy’s best roaster of 2019. Five coffee bars and a coffee school later, they still love telling the story behind every cup.
