The story:
This one was built for DAK from scratch. Our partners at DAK worked with Cata Export and producer Franky Hoyos at Finca El Encanto in Pitalito, Colombia, to shape a yeast inoculated natural Caturra Chiroso grown at 1650 MASL. Oxidation, anaerobic fermentation, a thermal shock and a fruit pulp yeast all play a part, and the result has become a staple.

The taste:
It opens like a glass of chocolate milk with a drop of vanilla, then a cherry filled doughnut rolls in, jammy and sugary in the best way. The body is rich and round, the acidity gentle and the finish stays plush and sweet. It is funky without turning wild, and every sip feels like a treat from a bakery counter.

The feeling:
Pour it through a V60 or AeroPress and enjoy the dessert-in-a-cup effect. This is made for people who like their coffee playful, creamy and a bit unusual. If you prefer clean and tea-like cups, this will not be your match. If you like sweet and indulgent, it is an easy yes.
