The story:
Our partners at Tanat sourced this lot from Arbegona, Ethiopia, where the 74112 cultivar grows at 2200 MASL. It went through a full natural process, drying slowly on raised beds until the cherry sugars worked their way deep into the bean, and the lot scored high enough with the SCA to stand out even in a strong lineup of Ethiopian naturals.

The taste:
A wave of ripe peach hits first, giving way to wild berries through the middle and a soft, fig-like sweetness that lingers on the finish. The fruit intensity is loud without tipping into mess, everything sits clean and well defined, cup after cup. This is a coffee for people who actually want their natural process to taste like one.

The feeling:
Brew it slow through a V60, giving the water time to pull every layer of fruit out of the bean. A slightly finer grind and a patient pour reward you here, letting the peach open first before the berries and fig sweetness settle in. Built for people who love natural Ethiopians at their loudest.

About the roastery

Tanat is a specialty coffee roastery from Paris, and its founder can back up the hype: Alexis Gagnaire is a former competitive barista who's podiumed at both the AeroPress Championship and the French Coffee Roasting Championship. The team travels to origin themselves, buying directly from farms and cooperatives they've known for years, and every batch gets roasted with the same care you'd expect from an atelier. No shortcuts, no pods, just clean, terroir-driven coffee.
