The story:
Grown on El Vergel, the Bayter family's farm in Tolima at 1500 MASL, this Caturra lot is picked by hand and processed washed before the caffeine is removed using a sugarcane-based method. Our partners at Heresy scored it 86 points and picked it specifically to prove decaf does not have to taste like an apology for real coffee.

The taste:
Red fruit and citrus lead the way, folding into milk chocolate and a touch of flowers underneath. It drinks like a genuinely excellent washed Colombian, bright and clean, with none of the flatness that usually gives decaf away. High sweetness carries it right to the last sip. Blind, you would probably never guess the caffeine was gone.

The feeling:
Brew it through an AeroPress for the clearest read on the fruit and florals, no rules against a slow evening cup either since there is barely any caffeine left to keep you up. It suits anyone who wants the ritual of good filter coffee without the buzz, or a household splitting decaf and regular drinkers who refuse to compromise on taste.

About the roastery

Heresy is a turbo nano roastery out of Poland, and they've got opinions. Since 2021 they've only roasted microlots scoring 86 points or higher, because life's too short for boring coffee. Founding roaster Piotr Jeżewski is a Q Grader trained by a World Champion, and the rest of the crew has judged national championships and run PR for some of Poland's biggest coffee names. No fussy tasting wheels, no gatekeeping, just small batches in brown jars they'd actually want to drink themselves.
