The story:
Our partners at La Cabra didn't just source this lot; they joined a resistance. El Oromazo is the result of a community in Tolima, Colombia, standing their ground. Back in 2015, these farmers blocked roads and went on strike to stop industrial gold mining from destroying their land. That defiance birthed the CDNT collective. Grown at a rock-solid 1800 masl in the remote Casabianca region, this washed Caturra and Castillo blend is a liquid testament to what happens when you prioritize the soil over the spoils.
The taste:
This cup is a high-wire act of balance. It leads with a vibrating, bright citrus punch - think zesty grapefruit and crisp green apple - that electrifies your tongue. But before it zigs too far into the tart zone, it zags into a deep, syrupy pool of dried fruit sweetness. It’s dense, structured, and carries a clean, lingering finish that proves high-altitude Colombian coffees are still the undisputed heavyweights of the game.
The feeling:
This is for the "I drink coffee to feel something" crowd. If you want an omniroast that can morph from a crystal-clear filter brew to a punchy, complex espresso shot without breaking a sweat, El Oromazo is your new daily driver. It’s vibrant, socially conscious, and unapologetically bold.
