The story:
A magnificent Kenyan masterpiece with a story stretching back decades. In 1954, a young boy named Aloysius Gakunga promised himself he would one day own the Kiriga Estate—a dream he fulfilled in 1976. Today, his grandson Brian runs the farm in Kiambu, Kenya. This exceptional light roast comes from nearly 70-year-old SL28 and Ruiru 11 trees grown at 1800–1950 MASL. Featuring exclusively the massive, premium AA grade beans, fully Washed and sun-dried, it holds a stunning 84+ SCA rating.
The taste:
A textbook Kenyan flavor powerhouse. It hits your palate with a vivid, electrifying explosion of juicy red currant and a crisp, brilliantly tart layer of fresh rhubarb. The bright, racy acidity is balanced perfectly by a sweet, vibrant note of sun-ripened orange, giving the cup incredible complexity and a beautifully clean, sparkling finish.
The feeling:
This is the absolute ultimate pour-over or V60 experience. The clean drip filtration beautifully elevates the crisp rhubarb and red currant notes, letting the complex high-altitude acidity shine without any heavy texture getting in the way.
