Rubens grew up in his parents’ cafes, but it was Cinzia’s unwavering support and sacrifice that allowed him to dive headfirst into the world of roasting. Today, Gardelli Specialty Coffees remains a family affair; while Rubens pushes the boundaries of flavor as a self-taught master, Cinzia is the indispensable woman behind the brand, personally packing and labeling bags with the same proud smile she has had since the journey began in their family kitchen.

At Gardelli, quality is never left to chance or flashy labels. Rubens, a multi-time Italian champion and 2018 World Coffee Roasting Champion, still personally roasts every batch to ensure it reaches his standard of perfection. The process is defined by a meticulous blind tasting protocol where names and origins are ignored—only the true quality in the cup matters. By using custom-built machinery and an optical sorter to remove any imperfections, the roastery crafts "omni-roasts" designed to highlight the unique terroir of each bean, whether you are brewing a delicate filter or pulling a rich espresso.
