The story:
Our partners at
Coffee Collective fell head over heels for this absolute freak of a lot. This isn't just Gesha—the undisputed queen variety of specialty coffee - it’s Gesha with an attitude. Sourced from the Peñas Blancas community project in Huila, Colombia, and grown at a solid 1750 masl sweet spot, the Vergara brothers from Finca Las Flores lent their legendary biotechnology expertise to neighboring farms. They subjected these seeds to a precise, profile-fermented protocol to forcefully squeeze out volatile flavors that standard washing could never touch.

The taste:
This cup hits your palate like an aromatic lightning bolt. It opens with an intense, perfumed blast of classic jasmine before a razor-sharp wave of lemongrass acidity completely electrifies your tongue. Just when the high-voltage citrus peaks, it grounds itself into a deep, heavy, and hyper-concentrated sweetness reminiscent of herbal rosehip. It’s exceptionally light-bodied, clean, and ridiculously complex.

The feeling:
This is engineered for the uncompromising black coffee purists who want to push their
V60 to the absolute limit. If you’re tired of heavy, muddy morning joe and want a light roast that drinks like an insanely complex, crisp botanical elixir, this Colombian lot is your new holy grail. Keep it black, take your time, and let it cool down to experience the full flavor spectrum.
