The story:
Our partners at Coffee Collective hunted down this organic powerhouse from the Flores family at Finca El Morito. Tucked away in the Cajamarca region of Peru, this lot is grown at a rock-solid high-altitude sweet spot of 1550-1750 masl. It’s a textbook trio of Caturra, Bourbon, and Typica - the "old school" varieties that, when handled with this much care, prove that you don't need weird fermentation tricks to create a badass cup.

The taste:
This is a liquid dessert for grown-ups. The first sip slams you with a massive, velvety wave of praliné and caramelized nuts. Just as that heavy sweetness starts to coat your palate, a sharp, zesty hint of orange cuts through the noise, providing a clean citrus snap that keeps the whole profile from feeling too heavy. It’s round, balanced, and has a mouthfeel so smooth it should be illegal.

The feeling:
This is for the "I want my coffee to taste like actual coffee, but better" purist. If you hate those ultra-acidic fruit bombs that taste like battery acid and prefer a light roast with a heavy focus on nutty sweetness and chocolatey vibes, El Morito is your new daily driver. It’s balanced enough for the morning hustle and sophisticated enough for a slow afternoon brew.
