The story:
Our partners at COFFEELAB landed this washed anaerobic gem from Nyamasheke, Rwanda, and it’s a total boss move. Grown in a high-altitude sweet spot of 1600–2100 masl, this Red Bourbon lot is produced entirely by women, celebrating the Urugori tradition. It’s an 87 SCA powerhouse that proves precision and tradition can coexist without the usual industry fluff.

The taste:
Prepare for a thick, syrupy wave of plum and sun-dried raisins that hits like a liquid dessert. The profile is anchored by a heavy drizzle of buckwheat honey, giving it a deep, earthy sweetness that lingers for ages. It’s dense and satisfying, with a medium acidity that keeps the massive sugar reserve from feeling cloying.

The feeling:
We hunted this down for the person who wants their filter brew to pack some serious weight. If you're bored of thin, tea-like cups and want a brew that feels as rich as a dark fruit cake, this is your new daily ritual. It’s a sustainable, high-impact cup for the rebel who demands both ethics and top-tier flavor in their pour-over.
